When a nosey couple report that an elderly neighbour hasn’t been seen for a few days, local police make the grisly discovery and call in the Major Crimes Team. 
 
etective Chief Inspector Freya Bloom and Detective Inspector Savage lead the investigation. Albert Reilly suffered a heart attack but has a single head wound, the back door is locked but a little window beside it is broken, and there is no sign of a struggle. 
 
The mystery deepens when they discover that not only is Reilly’s oldest friend missing, but none of his surviving family were on speaking terms with him, leaving Freya and Ben no option but to consider them all suspects – the problem is that every one of them wanted him dead, they each had a key to his house, and they all have something to hide.
